This tiny little device fit my need perfectly. That need: to replace the dock that came with the Shuffle and broke in transit just like it has for so many others, for the reason that that device's docking pin is set at a RIGHT ANGLE to the rest of it and just needs to be bent slightly to be rendered functionless. Add that to the price of a replacement dock from Apple (about 3/4 of the price of the freaking shuffle in the first place!) and this adapter is the perfect alternative. Only one word of caution: you will probably want to plug it into a USB port on the front of a desktop tower, or have to plug it into the side of a laptop. So be careful as the combo of adapter and Shuffle sticking out provides an easy opportunity to bend the USB or pin connection if you bump it too hard. This hasn't happened to me in six months of use, but i could easily see it happening under the wrong circumstances. But at this price, you could just buy 5 of them if you think that might happen.
In a nutshell, this thing is great!

Excellent travel dock for the ipod Shuffle

| I bought a bunch of these and gave them away to family/friends who have ipod Shuffles. It is an awesome travel dock. I keep one of these in my little shuffle kit with my Westone earphones and shuffle. Nice. |
Better than the original usb dock

| It was what I expected to get, better than the original dock it came with, and it was a quick delivery. In addition, now I don't have to worry about the annoying wire attached to the dock of the original one. Thanks. I will update this review later if anything changes. |

| After going to the ipod store and Radio Shack and finding a replacement cost almost as much as a new shuffle this was and excellent option. It works just fine and the price was right. I am going to buy an extra for back up! |
